We are Plastic Model Aeroplane kit Suppliers and Manufacturers to both the trade and individuals anywhere in the world. Currently we produce thermoformed kits in white plastic with metal fittings and crystal clear canopies. We are hoping to release our 1st kit in a whole new range of Multi Media kits. We are now located in Wales with a much faster production rate for new releases. This has been the reason for the continued delay in the release of new models.

BUILDING MODEL AIRCRAFT IS AN INTERESTING AND ABSORBING, AS WELL AS CREATIVE HOBBY REQUIRING MUCH DETAILED RESEARCH AND WHILST THE BUILDING OF INJECTION MOULDED AIRCRAFT IS RELATIVELY EASY AND CAN BE REWARDING, THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF THE SAME MODEL AROUND THE WORLD. THE BUILDING OF A VAC FORM MODEL WILL REQUIRE MORE TIME & CARE BUT THE CREATIVE INDIVIDUALITY OF THE FINISHED MODEL WILL PRODUCE A VERY FINE MODEL AND SHOW TO THE FULL THE BUILDERS DEVELOPED SKILL & INTEREST IN THEIR CHOSEN FIELD OF AVIATION. THESE KITS REPRESENT A GOOD CROSS SECTION OF AIRCRAFT THAT MAY NEVER BE AVAILABLE IN INJECTION MOULDED FORM.

WE HAVE BEEN PRODUCING MODEL AIRCRAFT KITS SINCE 1985 AND IN 1992 WE TOOK OVER THE SUPPLY OF SEVERAL 1/48th KITS THAT WE HAD ALREADY BEEN MANUFACTURING FOR CONTRAIL/SUTCLIFFE. AT THIS TIME WE ACQUIRED SEVERAL OF CONTRAIL’S OWN 1/72nd KIT MOULDS.

ALL THE MASTERS ARE PRODUCED IN OUR WORKSHOP, WHERE THE METAL MOULDS ARE MADE FOR USE ON OUR LARGE 1 metre VAC FORMING MACHINE USING CERAMIC HEATERS . THIS ALLOWS US TO SUPPLY FUSELAGES IN ONE LENGTH, MAKING IT EASIER FOR KIT CONSTRUCTION. THE CANOPIES ARE PRODUCED ON A SMALLER MACHINE OF SIMILAR CONSTRUCTION. WE PRODUCE ALL OUR OWN METAL CASTINGS, MADE FROM OUR OWN BRASS MASTERS. THERE ARE COMPLETE MACHINING FACILITIES IN OUR WORKSHOP, WHICH ENABLES US TO UNDERTAKE THE MACHINING OF BOTH WOOD AND METAL MASTERS.

IT HAS ALSO BEEN PLEASING TO HAVE AN ADDITION TO OUR WORKSHOP IN THE FORM OF AN EXTENSION WHICH HOUSES A DECAL MAKING FACILITY. THIS FACILITY ALSO ENCOMPASSES A PHOTOGRAPHIC DARKROOM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THE NECESSARY ARTWORK FROM THE COMPUTER. THIS WILL NOW MAKE US TOTALLY SELF SUFFICIENT IN THEIR PRODUCTION.
