Kit Contents

White vac formed plastic sheet in 1mm - 1.25mm -1.5mm or 2mm thickness. Crystal clear cockpit canopies, turrets, etc as required. High quality cast metal fittings such as propellers, seats, engines, undercarriage legs, radiators, wheels, guns, aerials, etc as required by aircraft. Computer drawn and printer controlled decals. Assembly drawings and instructions.

 

 

42 piece kit of parts. Decals for U.K. - HS103 '31' H.G.C.U Brize Norton 1943. Decals for U.S. 82nd Airborne Division, Cherbourg June 5th 1944. Some 3,799 were built by Airspeed, Austin Motor Company, Harris Lebus the furniture makers, together with other various subcontractors. Piloted by British Army's Glider Pilot Regiment and RAF, they were used for men and equipment of the Air Landing Brigades of the 1st & 6th Airborne Divisions. The first significant operational use of the Horsa was for the invasion of Sicily in July 1943. Subsequently, they were used by both the RAF & USAAF in the invasion of France in 1944. Also in the invasion of Southern France in August 1944 and during the crossing of the Rhine and also at Arnhem.
